| NEWS 23 FEBRUARY 2012 - POPOLICE DOING STUFF AGAIN I haven't updated this site in quite a while as there quite simply hasn't been much going on in regards to Poplice happenings. I've been doing a few recordings lately though and 2 recent songs are coming out on a couple of compilations. A song called 'Morning Sickness' is coming out on a mixtape called 'Popsychle' released by Neumusak. You can download it for free here. There will be limited physical copies with hand painted artwork at the launch in Melbourne. It'll be on Sunday 4th March at The Workers Club and will start around 5PM. Perhaps google it to make sure. A live version of another new song called 'Green Screen' will be released on a compilation by the 'Why Don't You Believe Me?' label. It's called 'Banannas' and physical copies will be available at the launch in Melbourne on 22nd March at The Gasometer. I'm not playing this, however it'll be completely awesome and, besides, I have a headline gig at the same venue a few days before on Sunday 18th March. Also playing are Turvey Park, Cool Drinks and Mr. Speaker. Gonna be a night of fun noisy pop goodness, nay greatness! Finally, I have released all my Aussie EPs to Bandcamp Will do a lot more recording this year, been way too long!! 13 MAY 2010 - BREAK + OTHER BANDS No Popolice shows until NZ/Aus summer 2010/2011. Sorry folks, need real Popolice away time and a real return when I can give it the full attention it deserves... Thanks for the support over the past 5 years of near continuous gigging! 27 NOVEMBER 2009 - DECEMBER SHOWS There will be a string of shows across Australia's east coast throughout December. Details @ Myspace. Also, Popolice will now post regular updates through Twitter and Facebook. As is obvious, Marc has let Popolice slide this year due to keeping mega-busy in other bands and life in general, however an album IS being sorted and hopefully some new tunes will be previewd this December. Hope you all have a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON! 20 MA7 2009 - DEFINITE HIATUS Popolice is deifintely out of the picture for a while now as Marc is keeping busy in Melbourne, recording and playing gigs with the bands New Estate and Teeth And Tongue. Things are always being conjured up in the background though and I'm sure a few months without Popolice will get him feeling rather restless! Don't expect much to happen before 2010 though... 07 JULY 2008 - BREAK / ALBUM Popolice has begun work on his debut album in Auckland and will complete it in Melbourne where he'll play the odd gig over the next couple of months... Check myspace for details - All the kids are doing it now days! 01 MAY 2008 - LITTLE PICTURES TOUR Popolice will join Wellington's Little Pictures on their first Australian tour. Having recently sold out of their debut EP, Little Pictures have been signed to Lil' Chief Records (home of The Brunettes) who will release their debut album later this year. Their live show is not to be missed, consisting of uplifting, romantic electro-pop songs combined with stage costumes, bubble blowing and irrepressible audience interaction.
